Adam is a talented midfielder or full back from who is comfortable just about anywhere on the pitch. He helped the Sheffield United youth team to the FA Youth cup quarter finals in 2006/7 and ended that season as youth team top scorer despite playing in defence. A Northern Irish under 21 international Adam joined United on loan in January and was an instant success, then joined permanently in the summer of 2009.
