Ashley joined the Yellows on a one-month emergency loan from Coventry City in February 2010.
A pacy winger capable of playing on either flank, Cain had previously spent time on loan at fellow Blue Square Premier side Luton Town, making one appearance during a period that saw several games postponed.
A product of the Coventry youth system, he has made a number of first team appearances for the Sky Blues both this season and last.
