Jack first came to Oxford's attention after netting over 20 goals for Histon during the 2008/9 Blue Square Premier season, including goals in both games against the U's. The 6'2" forward began his career at Stevenage and had brief spells at Dagenham and Bishops Stortford before a very profitable move to Histon, for whom he scored 25 goals in 63 starts. He joined United in June 2009 after Histon's Play-Off Semi-Final defeat to Torquay United.
