Billy is an experienced goalkeeper who started his league career as understudy to Andy Woodman at Northampton before becoming The Cobblers' regular keeper. Having spent a spell on loan at Leyton Orient the six foot four keeper then really made his name as number one at Rushden, who he joined for £120,000 in February 1998.

A major factor in The Diamonds' Conference winning side and then their Championship winning side in the old Third Division, Turley is a fine shot stopper who commands his penalty box, and was a constant thorn in United's side over the years! He proved his consistency in his first season with The U's and signed a new deal in the summer of 2006. A big favourite with the United fans and a great character.
