Foster looks to sink the Fleet
United welcome Luke Foster back after suspension as they travel to Ebbsfleet in the Blue Square Premier tomorrow (3pm)
Foster has served his one match suspension following his red card at Wrexham and challenges Barry Quinn and Chris Willmott for a centre back role. James Clarke also pushes for a defensive start after replacing Matt Day at half time in the Woking draw on Monday. Joe Burnell could return after injury provided he suffers no reaction after training today.
Jamie Guy will be looking for his first goals of the season against a club he knows well. Guy spent a short spell on loan at Ebbsfleet in 2005 from Colchester.
Sam Deering is unlikely to feature after spending three days in hospital this week after a serious ashtma attack, and with fellow youngster Alex Fisher a doubt after a blow to the knee in a behind closed doors game against Aldershot on Tuesday young midfielder Richard Groves is added to the squad.
The Opposition
There are three familiar faces in the Ebbsfleet squad, with Paul McCarthy, Michael Gash and Jamie Hand all former Yellows now at the Fleet. McCarthy made 34 starts for the U's between 2003 and 2004 while Hand has had two loan spells with the U's. Gash's appearance was more recent, just one game in pre-season at Oxford City having been prolific for Cambridge City last season.
Ebbsfleet have lost just once this season, away at Rushden, and enjoyed a fine 4-0 win over Stevenage in their last home match. There is much speculation over the future of striker John Akinde, who is the subject of a £140,000 bid from Peterborough. Fleet's Directors, the members of My Football Club, must vote whether to accept the bid.
The last two visits have been very contrasting for the U's. In 2006/7 they lost their long unbeaten record to Liam Daish's side, but last season romped to a 3-1 win in the final game of the season.

(Look, Carruthers at 40/1 is great odds as we told you last week just before he hit the bar after four minutes. We suffered third degree burns when the cup of tea went up in the air as a result!)
