Northwich Preview
The waiting is almost over and judgement day is almost upon us.
United's fantastic run under Chris Wilder has pushed them to the edge of the play-off places, and now only a win will do as they take on Northwich on Sunday (4pm)
The equation is easy enough. United must win. Torquay must lose. Kidderminster must not win. If all three of those parts fall into line then United will be in the play-offs with a home leg first.
Before that can happen though they have to beat a Northwich side who have won five games on the trot and have nothing to lose as they bow out of the Blue Square Premier.
United are without the suspended Chris Willmott after his red card at Burton, with Kevin Sandwith likely to move to centre half and Chris Carruthers to start at left back. In front of them top scorer James Constable will be looking to add to his 25 goals so far this season; he scored two at Northwich in the 2-1 win earlier this season.
The Opposition
Northwich have hit top form since their relegation to the Conference North. Five wins in a row have made Andy Preece's side into the form team of the division and the former Bury striker will be looking to end the season on a high. Vics were locked out of their own ground earlier in a traumatic season but with their future secure and now safely back home they have become a force to be reckoned with again.
Since dropping into the Blue Square League United have won three and drawn three games against the Vics.
