Jake's All-Wright

Posted on: Thu 09 Sep 2010

United centre half Jake Wright will get down to business as usual as the U's travel to Hereford this Saturday.

The former Brighton defender, who was substituted towards the end of United's 4-0 win over Morecambe, will line up against the Bulls after successfully coming through training ahead of the team's trip to Edgar Street.

"Jake's ok for Saturday," manager Chris Wilder told Yellow Player earlier on today. "He's had a bit of a stiff back and every now and then he knocks it up a bit which happened at the weekend, so we thought we'd take him off purely as a precaution. He's had a couple of days off and he'll train today so we should have a virtually fully fit squad for Hereford."

Damian Batt and Rhys Day will both miss the game as they continue their respective recoveries from injury.
