Alfie gets green light

Posted on: Tue 02 Feb 2010

United have been boosted by the news that winger Alfie Potter should be available for this weekend's home game against Kidderminster Harriers.

The wing wizard hobbled off with a twisted ankle during the 3-1 win at Chelmsford on Saturday but the injury doesn't appear to be as serious as it first looked, as manager Chris Wilder explains:

"Alfie just went over on his ankle so you are always concerned, but the first 24 hours are crucial. Thankfully it looks as though there's no serious damage and he has responded well to a bit of treatment. We hope he'll be able to take his place in the squad on Saturday as usual."
