Franny Green has completed his transfer to the club after his loan deal from Kettering was made permanent.

The speedy forward player has started all but one of United's games since signing in mid-November, and with a deal until the end of the season now in place Franny is hoping that the coming months are as enjoyable as the opening ones.

"I came here looking to make things permanent and I'm delighted that it's happened," says Green. "I've really enjoyed my time here so far. There's a great bunch of lads here and I hope that I can contribute to a very successful second half of the season."

Meanwhile, fellow loanees Ross Perry and Onome Sodje have now returned to their parent clubs.

"Ross has been a bit unfortunate because he's possibly not played as much as he would have liked," comments United manager Chris Wilder. "Sodje made the decision to go back himself. We were looking to extend it for a month and he's decided to go back to Barnsley to try and force his way into their first team. They've both contributed, both been good lads to have in around the club and we wish them all the best."
