United sign Potter
United have completed the signing of winger Alfie Potter on a season long loan from Peterborough United.
Potter, 20, first came to fame with a goal for Havant and Waterlooville against Liverpool at Anfield as the Conference South side took a shock 2-1 lead before losing 5-2.
That appearance came on loan from Peterborough, and was followed by a brief loan at AFC Wimbledon and then a season long loan at Kettering last season where he made 29 league starts including both games against The U's.
A tricky winger with bags of pace, Alfie will wear the number 15 shirt for United.
Manager Chris Wilder told us:
"I watched him a number of times last season and he always did well. He always gave his full back a problem and loves to take people on, which I think the Oxford fans like to see. We have plenty of options on both flanks with Alfie , Alex Rhodes, and Marcus Kelly all joining and Adam Chapman, Sam Deering, Matt Green and Damian Batt also able to play wide. Alfie is highly rated at Peterborough and we are lucky to have him available to us."
