United 's building for the future continued today as right back Damian Batt signed a new two year deal.

The 24 year old former Barnet, Stevenage and Grays right back has been in great form since he joined United in January and was delighted to commit himself to The U's. He told us:

"I have really enjoyed myself at Oxford and it's a great opportunity to be part of what is being built here. Things are going well for the team and it's a very positive place to be so I'm happy to have got everything sorted and looking forward to playing my part this season and beyond."

Boss Chris Wilder said:

"Damian has done ever so well for us and we're delighted that he has signed. We are building a good young side here and he gives us that balance on the right. He is ambitious and wants to win things and has a great attitude so we are pleased that his hopes and plans fit in with our own."
