United have further strengthened their squad with the loan signings of defenders Adam Chapman and Shane Killock.

Adam is a nineteen year old full back from Sheffield United who is comfortable on either side of defence. He helped the Blades youth team to the FA Youth cup quarter finals in 2006/7 and ended that season as youth team top scorer despite playing in defence. A Northern Irish under 21 international Adam goes straight into the U's squad to travel to Eastbourne tomorrow, as does Shane Killock.

Shane, also nineteen, is a six feet tall centre half who has had loan spells at Hyde and Harrogate and who has made one senior start for Huddersfield after progressing through their youth team ranks.

Both players join as emergency loans for a month.
