KICK IT! MOVE IT & CHILL IT! Barton Women’s Event 2011

Posted on: Wed 02 Mar 2011

This year's Oxford International Women's Festival programme is now available with details of exciting events running in and around Oxford. The 'Women and Well-being' theme for 2011 will focus on health issues, sport, dance, music, and energising activities that promote a sense of wellness. A launch event will be held at the Town Hall, St Aldates, Oxford on International Women's Day - Tuesday 8th March 2011.

Project Coordinator of the KICK IT! MOVE IT! & CHILL IT! Event in Barton, Ann Marie Browne, says that the Barton Event "Will be a great opportunity for women/young women/girls (families) to come together to share and learn together. Taking the time out to have fun, speak to some one you never have before in their community, perhaps learn something new or share a skill or talent you have with your community".

The Event will also be fundraising for Women's Breast Cancer Research as so many women and families have been or are affected by cancer. There will be stalls including Amnesty International; Brookes University; The Roundabout Centre; GoActive; Fusion-Lifestyle; Local Artists and the Barton Community Farm.
