Coaching for Schools

Posted on: Tue 26 Jun 2007

Health Schools Initiative

In September 2007Oxford United Football In The Community Scheme are going to provide primary school children the opportunity to learn about health and fitness. Each school has a six-week programme, which combines practical, and theory lessons for children. The children learn about healthy foods, nutrition, healthy body and exercise. This is a great opportunity for our coaches and teachers to work together to gain the most out of the children. It also gives the teachers and coaches' new ideas for building a healthier future for the children.

Assemblies

FITC are happy to take part in one for your school assemblies on health or fitness. We are also able to come into schools and run our own assemblies on soccer courses and special events we are holding in your area. If you are interested in FITC taking part in your assembly please contact us on the above address.

Fundraisers

Oxford United's community scheme realise how difficult it can be for schools to raise money, which is why FITC offer support for your fundraisers. FITC can offer support for your ongoing fundraisers, or alternatively we can offer a football skills sponsorship day. One of our coaches takes out each class for one hour, during that hour children complete skills, which they will have been sponsored for. Oxford United will also present the school with a cheque at a later date.

After School Clubs

We are currently running over 20 after school clubs around the county. The sessions are run throughout the school term, comprising learning skills and playing matches. Here are just some of the areas where we run after school clubs:
