TEAM NEWS
Joe Skarz and Richard Brindley stand by for their Oxford United debuts as the U's travel to Stevenage in Sky Bet League 2 on Saturday.

Right-back Brindley joined the U's yesterday on loan from Rotherham and joins his former Millers teammate Skarz in the United squad after the latter joined last Saturday. Brindley challenges Sam Long for the right-back role while Skarz' arrival could mean a slightly different role for Tareiq Holmes-Dennis on the left flank.

United are without Will Hoskins who had a minor operation to rectify a groin problem this week. "The operation went really well" physio Andrew Proctor told us "and he's back home recovering. If all goes well then it's two weeks until he's back and pushing for a place again."

Fellow striker John Campbell is not involved while the U's discuss his future with Jarrow Roofing. However James Roberts could be in contention for a starting place up front after scoring as a sub in the 2-2 draw with Exeter City last weekend and then netting again in the Development Side's 2-1 win over West Brom this week.

See Richard Brindley, Danny Hylton and Michael Appleton give their thoughts ahead of the game in Yellow Player where we will also have full commentary on the whole game.

THE OPPOSITION
There have been some fierce encounters between the two clubs over the last few years, dating back to the Conference years.

“It’s got some history, the fixture, like when we went head to head for the Conference title. There’s been some good competitive games over the year" Stevenage boss Graham Westley admitted this week.

“(Oxford) are in the market this week. They are looking to strengthen their squad and they have made some big investments.

“It will be a tough game. It’s up to us to prevent the ball reaching players that are likely to do anything with it. What I want to see is our boys building on their exciting play. We have had some good, exciting games. It’s a question of keeping the winning [home] run going. We just want to keep going and improve our league position.”

United to win 1-0 is 17/2, 2-0 is at 16/1 and a 3-1 win is an interesting 28/1

Top scorer Danny Hylton to score the only goal is 35/1 or how about James Roberts scoring first in a 2-1 win -that would net you £250 from a fiver
