Demi wins prestigious award
Oxford United Women goalkeeper Demi Lambourne has been named as Oxfordshire Sportswoman of the yearThe young keeper, who has come through the thriving youth development system with the Oxford United Women side and been involved with the England set up, was named as Sportswoman of the Year at the Oxfordshire Sports Awards evening at the Kassam Stadium last night.
She said:
"It's a fantastic honour and recognition of all the hard work from everyone involved with the club."
Oxford United Women Manager Les Taylor said:
"It's a great honour and fantastic to see Demi receive an award like this. She works so hard at her game and is also a fantastic role model for any young women looking to get involved in sport."
