A song for Wembley
Oxford United head for Wembley on Sunday April 2nd and we have been set a bit of a challenge.
After every home game, the U’s play Neil Diamond’s ‘Sweet Caroline’. At Wembley in 1986 the club recorded Slade’s ‘My Oh My’ as the club song, and in 2010 ‘I Gotta Feeling’ blared out at Wembley after our Play-Off victory.
This year Wembley have asked for three songs from each club, to be played should that side win. And that’s where you come in…
Sweet Caroline is a given, and ‘I Gotta Feeling’ is anthemic but what song do we go for to join them?
Suggestions have included ‘Yellow’ by Coldplay, ‘My Oh My’, and Slade’s “Cum on Feel the Noize’ (which has alternative lyrics apparently)
