Ledson Shortlisted for EFL Young Player of the Year

United midfielder in national top three

Oxford United midfielder Ryan Ledson has been shortlisted for the EFL Young Player of the Year Award

Ryan, currently away with the England under 20 squad, has had a fantastic season after joining from Everton and competes with John Swift (Reading) and Ollie Watkins (Exeter City) for the prestigious award: previous winners include Gareth Bale, Nathaniel Clyne and Dele Alli.  

Head Coach Michael Appleton said:

“It’s fantastic for Ryan and fully deserved. He is only 19 but plays with great maturity and  it is a great honour for the whole club to see his name shortlisted.”

The annual awards take place in London on Sunday 9 April.
