New sponsors ahead for the U's
Oxford United confirm that their sponsorship deal with Bridle Insurance will expire at the end of the current season.
Bridle, based in Witney, have sponsored the club for the last three seasons but indicated before Christmas that they will not be renewing for the 2013/14 season.
United Chairman Ian Lenagan said:
"We thank Bridle for their support and friendship over the last three seasons. They have been active sponsors and we have enjoyed having them on board with the club. Three years is the natural length of time that sponsorships tend to run in sport and this seems a sensible time for both of us to move on. In giving considerable advance notice, Bridle have been very fair to the Club.
“Making this announcement now also allows Oxford United plenty of time to find replacement sponsors, either locally or nationally. We are already in talks with a number of interested parties and there are some very exciting opportunities ahead.
