U's and Motors.co.uk team up to provide coaching in 20 schools

Oxford United are pleased to announce  an extended partnership with Motors.co.uk following a successful five-month trial.

The partnership has seen Motors.co.uk provide huge support to the U's, including the sponsorship of selected boys’ and girls’ youth teams, and widespread advertising including specially designed perimeter boards at the home of the Oxford United Women’s team in Abingdon. In addition, Motors.co.uk and OUFC have developed a coaching programme aimed at local schools, delivering around 360 hours of coaching to promote sports and fitness to children in 20 different schools.

Tony Davison, Commercial Director at Oxford United, said: “We are very pleased to renew this important partnership. Motors.co.uk will continue working with the Oxford United Community Trust to deliver positive social change through football. Every primary school in Abingdon will be offered free professional football coaching along with education on the importance of an active lifestyle, all of which would not be possible without the support of Motors.co.uk.”

Dermot Kelleher, director of marketing and business intelligence at Motors.co.uk, added: “We’re delighted to partner with a club that has so much heritage and affection within the local community. As a business we share many of the same values as Oxford United in terms of loyalty, team work and professionalism and we’re delighted to be able to support all of the great work the club does in the region, including giving local school children the chance to show off their skills in the free coaching sessions.”

Motors.co.uk is one of the UK’s leading online car classified sites and is celebrating a number of recent successes, including being nominated for and winning a number of high profile industry awards. Additionally, the newly recut TV adverts promoting its ‘Reduced Cars’ section has received a fantastic reaction from consumers in the form of increased visits, time on site and engagement with dealer stock.
