Saturday saw the first of a new matchday feature at Oxford United called Olly’s Upgrade.This great new idea will see fans selected at random at home games for a special upgrade on their tickets.
On Saturday U’s fan Ben Foot came along to watch the game and was the first person to receive Olly’s Upgrade. Ben and girlfriend Gemma were taken on a tour of the dressing room where they met the players and received a signed programme.
They then watched the warm-up from the seats in the dugout before their match seats were upgraded and they went to the Directors Box to watch the game in the company of Chairman Darryl Eales.
“It made my day and I hope the club do go ahead and roll it out as a regular feature” Ben told us.”It was great as a supporter to see all the work going on behind the scenes on a match day and the ground definitely feels a bit more like home with the work done this year.”
Olly’s Upgrade is a ‘money can’t buy’ experience and one lucky fan will get this chance again when the U’s play Wycombe Wanderers at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday 1st November.
