Oxford United v Bournemouth preview


Oxford United are set to take on Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon in their last pre-season friendly before the start of the season.(3pm)


Johnny Mullins is an injury doubt with a dead leg that he picked up on Tuesday against Wolves but Alfie Potter is set return after recovering from his heel injury.

The Opposition

Bournemouth finished tenth in their first season back in the Championship and Eddie Howe’s young side have a reputation for playing good football. Howe is back at the Cherries for a second spell after moving to Burnley and among the players available to him are former Everton and Newcastle striker Dan Gosling, and Yann Kermogant who scored both goals against The U’s for Charlton in the FA Cup replay last season.

United’s next game will see them welcome Burton Albion to the Kassam Stadium on Saturday 9th August for the opening game in Sky Bet League 2.
