Stoke striker George signs until the end of the season
Striker George Waring has extended his loan deal with Oxford United until the end of the season.The 21-year-old Stoke City striker has started both of the last two games and played a big part in the 4-0 win over Dagenham and the 3-0 win at Barnet for the U’s.
He has agreed a new loan which will allow him to stay at the Kassam Stadium until the end of the league campaign, and also allow him to play at Wembley against his former club Barnsley.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here” he said. “The lads have been great and there is such competition for places up front that it keeps you on your toes and gets the best out of everyone. The team are obviously chasing promotion and I’d love to be involved in that.
“Wembley is only a couple of weeks away now and I’d love to be involved but we have two important league games this weekend before we can even start to think about that game.”
